Personal

Hello!

I grew up in the beautiful town of Tribeni, India, and I am a native বাংলা (Bengali) speaker (this is my name in Bengali বিনীত ঘোষ). Growing up in such a culturally rich environment has shaped my diverse interests and love for stimulating conversations. I find myself intrigued by a wide range of topics and always eager to learn something new.

I greatly enjoy watching movies, and have been a big fan of the legendary filmmaker Satyajit Ray. His masterpieces have left a lasting impact on me.

Music holds a special place in my heart, and every morning, my day begins with the enchanting tunes of Rabindra Sangeet. It has become my set Google Assistant morning routine, setting a positive tone for the day ahead. I also enjoying reading (particularly non-fiction these days).

Lately, I have discovered a new hobby—photography. Armed with my trusty mobile phone, I capture memorable moments from my travels. I occasionally enjoy sharing these glimpses of my journeys on my personal social media accounts.

Professionally, I am engaged in conducting research on Trustworthy Autonomy at my lab, AutMn ("It's AutMn at UA!"). Recently, I have been trying to kickstart a pilot project where I create teaser videos whenever I can find some spare time, showcasing our lab's research to a bigger audience. The main goal is to inspire high-school students to get into STEM, and also connect with students, practitioners, and scientists from other fields. It's all about promoting interdisciplinary research and sharing ideas! I am taking cues from the popularity of short videos these days, with cool effects and music to make them more appealing to a wide range of people. If you are interested in our research and would like to explore the content we share, feel free to connect with us.

Oh yes! I am also trying to learn how to play music using a MIDI keyboard controller these days. Unfortunately, finding dedicated time for this pursuit has proven challenging. If you have any tips or guidance on getting started with playing music, I would genuinely appreciate your insights!
